The one rule to remember
Bare is best
CPSC's rule of thumb is "Bare is Best": nothing but a fitted sheet in a crib, bassinet or play yard. It also says to use sleep products that meet federal requirements.

Kmaier Infant Walkers
The hazard
The walkers violate the federal walker standard because they fit through a standard doorway and don't stop at the edge of a step, a deadly fall hazard.
What to do
Stop using the walkers and contact Kmaier for a full refund. Owners are asked to destroy the walker and send a photo.

The hazard
A screw in the carrying handle can come loose so the handle partly detaches, and a child could fall.
What to do
A remedy is still being developed. Britax expects to mail owner letters by October 19, 2026. Owners can call Britax at 888-427-4829.
